NIU's much-hyped RQi electric motorcycle which made an appearance at this year's EICMA spearheads the company's lineup for 2022. NIU says the RQi is "The electric motorcycle you've been waiting for". Although there are plenty of other electric motorcycles in the market, the NIU RQi stands out particularly on the styling front and the features it provides.
Of course, the RQi features NIU’s iconic halo light and distinct design language found on the company's electric scooters. The RQi Sport features a top speed of 100 km/h and a range up to 120 km. The motor provides a max output of 7500W, and it also features dual 72v removable batteries, each with 36Ah capacity. There's even a launch mode for an instant acceleration boost. Other features include fast-charging capability, customizable dashboard display faces and three colour options.
The RQi is an important release for NIU as the company continues to expand its lineup to include high-performance vehicles. The NIU RQi Sport will retail at €6,999 for Europe. The real showstopper for many at the NIU EICMA booth was the newly announced MQi GT EVO. The MQi GT EVO is NIU's fastest ever electric scooter and beats everything else in the 125cc class of scooters, whether gas or electric powered, says NIU.
The electric scooter features a top speed of 100 km/h and a range up to 75 km. The motor provides a max output of 6500W, and it also features dual 72v removable batteries, each with 26Ah capacity. Other features include fast-charging capability, customizable dashboard display faces and five colour options. The MQi GT EVO is priced at €4,999 to start in the European market.NIU has also announced the BQi-C1 e-bike built with urban cyclists in mind and features a top speed of 45 km/h, up to 100 km of range per charge, 48V removable battery, max output of 750W, a single-speed derailleur, and three color options. The BQi-C1 also features a functional V-shaped step-through design for ease of use and accessibility for a wide variety of riders.
At EICMA 2021, NIU revealed the KQi2 and KQi3 Max kick scooters targeted towards the micro-mobility space. The Max, besides being NIU’s most powerful long-range kick scooter, also features self-healing pneumatic tires. Additionally, they integrate Bluetooth app connectivity to enable additional features, like a custom riding mode.
In addition to the expansion of our product offerings for electric motorcycles, scooters, and kick scooters, NIU also refreshed the NQi GTS. The 2022 version of the NQi GTS features an increased top speed of 80 km/h and up to 95 km on the extended-range variant. Also, it features two new colors, gloss black and matte grey, in addition to the white model with red striping.
Additionally, the company announced the YQi, a new gas/electric hybrid scooter, with the goal of transitioning more riders around the world toward electric vehicles. This hybrid scooter combines a liquid-cooled 150cc engine with an electric motor to reach a top speed of 110km/h and a range of 250+ km.
